Following are the work areas of this section:

1) To study the crustal deformation on the ground surface through the operation of GPS network.

2) Studying past historical and pre-historic earthquakes through paleoseismological studies and studying the time that can cause earthquakes (Fault) and major earthquake recurrence.

3) Regular operation and necessary maintenance and data collection of GPS stations established for the study and research of crustal deformation or stress change.
